Maison de la Halle

Opposite the Chateau la Johannie and the medieval covered market hall, with the church 30 metres away, you really are in the heart of the village here! In times gone by this house was the local epicerie, and was converted by the present owners for her extended family when coming to visit.

Entering the house from the main square, the whole of the ground floor has been sensitively converted into the living/dining area, with the fitted kitchen at the rear looking out over the valley beyond. Well furnished with an enormous sofa, dining table for 6, and all fully fited kitchen area with dishwahser, coffee maker etc., the house is full of light and feels really spacious. The original 'Lou Cantou' fireplace has been restored, and the house retains many of its orginal features and charm.

The beautiful antique chestnut staircase leads up to the three bedrooms, two with double beds and one with twin beds, all comfortably furnished. There is a shower room with basin, seperate toilet, and a seperate basin and vanity unit in the large space between the three bedrooms. Views from all these rooms onto the village roof tops and valley behind add to the magical feeling of your surroundings.

A small balcony runs to the side of the house, with steps leading to the garden below, with plenty of space to sit out and relax, or enjoy a meal under the trailing vines. One of the original walls of an earlier home divides the garden from the barbeque area, with built in barbeque and secret 'windows' overlooking the valley.
